THE SUPER SPLASH PARK WILL OPEN MAY 23, 2026!

The Carbondale Super Splash Park opens for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 23! This year is extra special as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Super Splash Park. Since opening in 2016, the Super Splash Park has been a favorite summer destination for families across Southern Illinois. We look forward to celebrating this milestone summer with you!

Daily Admission Fee

Daily Admission Fees are accepted at the Super Splash Park. The Super Splash Park accepts all major debit and credit cards, cash, and checks. All Passes, Group Discounts, Program and Private Lesson registration, and Party Pavilion/After Hour Rental arrangements are only available at the Lakeland Center.

The Resident fee is determined by your home address and whether or not you risde with in the Carbondale Park District taxing area. You must live within the Carbondale City limits to receive the resident rate. At the pay counter, verify residency with a current driver’s license, state ID, or utility bill to receive resident rates.

GROUP DISCOUNT INFORMATION:

A ratio of one swimming adult to every child age 1 or less must be met. A ratio of two swimming adults to every five children must be met for all groups with children of ages 2-4. For groups with children ages 5-12 the ratio must be one swimming adult to every eight children. If proper adult/child ratios are not met, the group will not be allowed to enter the Super Splash Park. A 50 cent discount per person applies if:

  1. There are 10 or more people in the group.
  2. Discount is only available during regular open swim hours on weekdays. Group discounts are not available on Saturdays or Sundays.
  3. Groups must have gender appropriate adult supervision in each locker room.
  4. The group must notify the Lakeland Center ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE of the planned swim date by calling 618-549-4222 or by email.
  5. Group discounts are not available for special events.

Season Passes

Passes can only be purchased at Lakeland Center at 925 S. Giant City Road, Carbondale, Illinois, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM. Passes will not be sold at the Super Splash Park facility. Super Splash Park Passes are only good for the one season that they were purchased in during regular business hours from 12:00PM-6:00PM Tuesday-Sunday. LAP SWIMMING AND LAZY RIVER WALKING

    Good for 12 visits! $48.00 R $60.00 NR These passes may only be used for lap swimming and Lazy River Walking. Passes available for purchase at the Lakeland Center, 925 S. Giant City Rd.

  • Lap Swimming

    We welcome swimmers to lap swim at the Super Splash Park during designated hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-11:00AM. To lap swim, folks must reserve a lane online using the button below and pay the daily adult admission fee, or use their Aquatic Fitness Flexi Pass. When registering for a lap swim time slot, you will have 45 minutes in one lane in the competition pool. The lane will not be shared. We also have Aquatic Flexi Passes available for purchase at the Lakeland Center, 925 S. Giant City Rd. To allow access to more lap swimmers each day, signing up for only one-time slot per day is permitted.

  • Lazy River Walking

    We host open hours where folks can walk the Lazy River at the Super Splash Park Monday through Friday from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Walking against the current in the Lazy River is a challenging way to get your heart rate up! There is no reservation required, but walkers must pay the adult daily admission fee or purchase an Aquatic Flexi Pass.

Pool Requirements

Swimmers under 18 years old must pass the Deep Water Swim Test to use the deep end of the pool.

Slide Height Requirement

  • Patrons must be at least 48 inches tall to use the water slide.

Food & Beverages

  • Patrons may bring their own snacks and beverages.
  • Coolers (maximum size 30 quarts) must be kept out of the traffic pattern and not create a hazard.
  • Food and drink must be consumed at the tables near the concession area.
  • Glass is not allowed.
  • The Park District reserves the right to inspect bags & coolers at any time.
  • Please use the recycling bins when disposing of trash.

Age Requirements

  • Children ages 5 years and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult 18 years or older. One adult may supervise a maximum of two (2) children this age. Adults must stay within arm’s reach of the child. Children not yet toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
  • Children ages 6 – 11 must be accompanied to the pool and supervised by an individual 16 years of age or older. This person may be in the water or on the deck.
  • Children ages 12 – 15 do not have to be accompanied by an adult, but must complete the Carbondale Park District’s SplashSmart Teen Safety Program before entry is permitted.

Swimwear Requirements

The District’s aquatic facilities are family-friendly. The District reserves the right to regulate bathing attire. Swimwear is required for any person entering the water. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers. Street clothes are not allowed in water facilities. Males must wear swim trunks with a mesh or nylon liner. Cut-off pants, thongs, and basketball shorts are not allowed. Cover-ups worn in the pool must be of man-made fibers. Swimmers must provide their own swimwear and towel.

Floatation and Other Devices

Floatation devices approved by the United States Coast Guard are allowed.

Note

Alcohol, tobacco, vaping, illegal drug use, and weapons of any kind are not allowed at
the Super Splash Park. Electronic devices must be kept 15 feet from all water
facilities. Amplified music is not allowed.

Super Splash Park After Hours

The Carbondale Park District can rent all or a portion of the Super Splash Park to groups during the pre-season or between 6:30 PM-8:30 PM every day of the week during the summer. Payment is due in full at booking.

Rental Request Form

To book: Email the Lakeland Center with your rental request form to see if the facility is available on your requested date. After that, you will be contacted via email on whether or not your rental request was approved. Once approved, the Lakeland Center will contact you for payment.

Youth Birthday Parties

Book your child’s summer birthday party with us! Your reservation includes a 2 hour rental of our semi private Party Pavilion, entry for 15 people, and a frozen treat from our concession stand for each guest. Party Pavilion rentals are available Tuesuday-Sunday in two time blocks: 1:30 PM-3:30 PM or 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, except during planned closures. Payment is due in full at booking.

Fee: $150.00 R ($173.00 NR)

Reservations start May 1, 2026.

Private Swim Lessons

These specialized swim lessons are available upon request. Carbondale Park District staff works diligently to match each student with an instructor trained to work with each level and age group. Private lessons are scheduled in are available to any age. We do our best to accommodate every request for swim lessons. However, these lessons depend on student and instructor availability. Fee: $100.00 R ($115.00 NR) for (4) 30-minute lessons
