Attucks Park
Welcome to Attucks Park, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Carbondale. Situated on the 400-800 block of N. Wall St., this vibrant urban oasis offers a rejuvenating escape for residents and visitors alike. With its lush greenery, recreational amenities, and community spirit, Attucks Park stands as a testament to the Carbondale Park District’s commitment to enriching the lives of its residents.
Spray Park Information: Opening day is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend every year. Closing date is weather dependent, usually near the beginning of September. The Spray Park is open 11:00am-7:00pm seven days a week. To activate water flow, press the button on the pole to the west of the mural. The water is programmed to run for approximately 10 minutes and then shut off. This is a water conservation effort.

RENTALS AT ATTUCKS PARK
Planning a gathering at Attucks Park? Follow the steps below to reserve your space:
1. Check Availability
Call the Lakeland Center at 618-549-4222 to see if your preferred date and space are available.
2. Submit Your Request
If your date is available, complete a Rental Request Form and Agreement. This this can be submitted via email or dropped off at the Lakeland Center. The address is at the bottom of this page.
3. Make Payment
Once your request is received, payment is required to secure your reservation. Your reservation is not complete until payment is made in full.
- In person: Cash or check accepted at the Lakeland Center
- By phone: Credit or debit card accepted
4. Receive & Sign Your Permit
After payment is processed, a rental permit will be emailed to you. You must sign and return the permit to finalize your reservation.
5. Day of Your Rental
- Please keep your permit with you during your rental as proof of reservation
- A CPKD sign will be placed on your reserved space that day
