MASTER PLAN
The Carbondale Master Plan is a jointly developed roadmap for guiding the growth and improvement of parks, greenways, and recreation features across the City of Carbondale and the Carbondale Park District over the next decade. It was created through a three-phase process (data collection and needs assessment; concept development; final plan), heavily informed by community input via surveys, stakeholder interviews, and public meetings.
STRATEGIC PLAN
The Carbondale Park District's Strategic Plan is a 10-year roadmap designed to guide the district's growth and improvement. Developed through community surveys and virtual meetings, the plan outlines 86 specific actions to be implemented over time, addressing both immediate and long-term goals. It also emphasizes the importance of collaboration with the City of Carbondale and local school districts to maximize resources and services.
