Get ready for a hands-on, family-friendly experience at our Touch-A-Truck at Attucks! Kids (and kids at heart) will have the opportunity to explore a variety of vehicles up close, meet the people who operate them, and learn how they help keep our community running every day.
Climb aboard, honk the horn, and discover everything from emergency vehicles to heavy equipment—all in one place!
This year’s event will feature vehicles and equipment from the City of Carbondale, Carbondale Fire Department, Jackson County Ambulance Service, Illinois State Police, Clearview Tree Service, and more.
🕙 Sensory-Friendly Hour:
The first hour of the event will be sensory-friendly, with no loud horns or flashing lights, creating a more comfortable environment for all participants.
Food Vendors
Come hungry! Pack a picnic and eat in the pavilions, or we’ll have local favorites on-site serving up treats and lunch options:
- Murphysboro Pelzer’s Tropical Sno – Enjoy a refreshing shaved ice and other treats
- Gordo’s LA Style Hot Dogs – Grab a savory bite with bold flavor
